I'm not going to speak about the "Big Boys"; enough has been written about them in all the Bass Publications. I will simply say that Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke, Chuck Rainey and James Jamerson were tremendous influences on me. However, there were many others , some of which you've probably never heard of.

Steve Swallow once said that he believed listening to other bassists was a very valuable and important part of a young bassist's development. For this reason, I present some of my heroes; the players that were the giants to me when I was learning, and still remain giants in my eyes.
